Delete your account
Tag My Vacation, an app by CodeLime LLC. This page explains how to delete your account and what happens to your data. You don't need the app installed to make a request.
Delete your account from the app
This is the fastest way, and it takes effect immediately.
- Open Tag My Vacation.
- On the Trip tab, tap the ⋯ menu at the top right and choose Account.
- Tap Delete Account and confirm.
If the app asks you to sign in again first, that's a security check — sign out, sign back in, and the delete will go through.
Delete your account by email
If you no longer have the app, or you'd rather we did it, email us from the address on your account and say you'd like your account deleted. We action these within 30 days, usually much sooner, and we'll confirm when it's done.
What gets deleted, and what stays
| Data | What happens |
|---|---|
| Your sign-in account | Deleted. Your name and email address go with it. |
| Trips only you were in | Deleted, along with their stays, plans, wishlist, photos and invite code. |
| Trips you shared with other people | You are removed from them. The trip itself stays with the people still on it — it holds their plans and their photos, so it isn't ours to delete on your behalf. |
| Photos you added to a shared trip | Stay with that trip, because you shared them with the group. Remove any you don't want left behind before you delete your account — see below. |
| The original photos on your phone | Never touched. The app only ever uploads a small copy of a photo you choose to share; your library is yours. |
Deleting your account can't be undone, and we can't restore a trip afterwards.
Delete some of your data without closing your account
You don't have to delete your whole account to remove things. In the app:
- A photo — open it and remove it. The shared copy is deleted.
- A trip you joined — Account → Leave this trip. You're removed from it; it stays with everyone else.
- A trip you created — delete it, and everything in it goes.
