Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and CodeLime LLC ("we", "us") governing your use of the Tag My Vacation app and related services ("the app"). By using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. Who can use the app
You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use the app. You are responsible for your account and for the activity that happens under it.
2. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your own personal, non-commercial trip-planning and memory-keeping. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell, or misuse the app or its content except as allowed by law.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you add — your photos, captions, and trip details. By adding content and choosing to share it with a trip, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that content solely to provide the app's features to you and the members of your trip (for example, showing a shared photo on the trip map and including it in a recap video). We do not claim ownership of your content and we do not use it for advertising. You are responsible for having the right to share the content you add, and for ensuring it does not violate anyone's rights or these Terms.
4. Sharing & group trips
Tag My Vacation is designed for families and groups. Content you add to a trip is visible to that trip's members, and recaps you create (and the photos in them) are shared with everyone on the trip. Share only what you're comfortable with the group seeing.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the app to upload or share content that is unlawful, infringing, harassing, hateful, or that you don't have the right to share; to abuse, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service; or to use it in violation of any law.
6. Subscriptions
- The app offers an optional auto-renewing annual subscription that unlocks premium features (creating recap videos and keeping unlimited trips). The current price is shown in the app before you purchase.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- You manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID / App Store account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
- Where offered, the subscription may be shared through Apple Family Sharing.
- Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with the App Store terms; we do not process payments directly.
7. Third-party services
The app relies on third-party services (including Apple, Google Firebase, Esri map imagery, Open-Meteo, and Wikipedia). Your use of features that depend on them is also subject to those providers' terms. We are not responsible for third-party services.
8. Availability & changes
We may add, change, or discontinue features, and we may update these Terms. If we make material changes we'll update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, note it in the app. Continuing to use the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
9. Disclaimers
The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content (such as maps, weather, or city information from third parties) will be accurate. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of your photos — the app is a companion, not a backup service.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CodeLime LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD $50.
11. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or misuse the service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability) will survive.
12. Apple App Store
The app is licensed, not sold, to you. These Terms are between you and CodeLime LLC only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, but Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. The standard Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA) also applies to your use of the app; where it conflicts with these Terms, these Terms govern to the extent permitted.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where a mandatory consumer-protection law of your place of residence applies.
